Southampton Philharmonic Choir - Making Music Live in Southampton since 1860!

One of the longest-established and most respected choirs in Southern England, we are a large choir performing choral music from the classical and contemporary repertoire with professional orchestras and soloists. We sing together with the Southampton University Phil, giving us a unique blend of youthful and experienced voices.

The choir performs major concerts three times each year. Additional performances include our popular concert of Christmas Music at the University of Southampton. We also hold regular Choral Workshops for keen singers who are interested in developing their ability.

We adopted the Southampton branch of the Alzheimer's Society as our new nominated charity in Autumn 2009 and have already helped the branch to raise almost £900 through bucket collections and a raffle. We look forward to finding many more opportunities to show our support!
We are also grateful to Bluthner Piano Centre Ltd for their kind support and sponsorship of the choir.

Next Concert: Mendelssohn – Hebrides Overture; Delius – Songs of Farewell; Grieg – Peer Gynt

With Samuel West narrating on Saturday 27th November 2010, 7.30pm at Southampton Guildhall.
