One of the longest-established and most respected choirs in Southern England, we are a large choir performing choral music from the classical and contemporary repertoire with professional orchestras and soloists. We sing with the Southampton University Philharmonic Choir, giving us a unique blend of youthful and experienced voices. The choir performs major concerts three times each year, generally at Southampton Guildhall or Winchester Cathedral. Additional performances include our popular concert of Christmas Music at Turner Sims (the Concert Hall at the University of Southampton). We also hold regular Choral Workshops for keen singers who are interested in developing their ability.
At the start of the 2017 season we adopted Rainbow Trust Children's Charity as our new nominated charity (until summer 2019). Rainbow Trust cares for families with a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. Thanks to the generosity of the audiences at our concerts in November 2017 and March 2018, and some carol singing at The Talking Heads in December 2017, we have so far raised £1,012.81 in aid of the charity.
